I paused in Ames, Iowa, home of Iowa State University, to visit my friends Dave and Shelly. They moved from Northern Virginia to Iowa a few years back and it was great to see them again--and their kids for the first time ever. Two days really wasn't enough for catching up on so much missed time with such good people.
